Properties description:

The appearance of this product is light yellow transparent liquid, chromaticity (APHA) ≤ 50; density 1.17g/cm3 (25 ℃), viscosity 125mPa.s (25 ℃), flash point 127 ℃; there is a certain special smell, insoluble in water, easily soluble in general polyurethane raw materials, such as polyether, polyester polyol, etc..

This product does not contain PBB, PBDE, lead, mercury, cadmium, etc. restricted by RoHS regulations, and at the same time, it does not contain nine types of organotin compounds such as octyltin, butyltin, phenyltin, etc. Polyurethane materials synthesized by the use of this product can pass the stringent environmental protection regulations of the U.S.A. and the European Union. It is a substitute for traditional organic mercury and lead catalysts in certain fields of polyurethane.

Product Characteristics:

This product is developed for the requirement of no air bubbles in the field of polyurethane CASE (especially for polyurethane elastomers), which is completely different from the commonly used amine-tin catalysts, and its unique water-suppressing function can effectively shield the reaction between the trace water contained in the polyurethane raw materials and the isocyanate, avoiding the CO2 bubbles generated from the reaction (polyether polyols can be used without high-temperature vacuum dewatering). Even in humid rainy weather, it can also effectively avoid the phenomena of multi-foam, cracking, bulging and peeling, etc. This feature is very similar to that of organic mercury.

The unique catalytic function of this product has a longer operation time compared with other products in this series, which ensures the original low viscosity and good fluidity of the combination material before mixing, which is very important for reducing the air bubbles produced by mixing and filling the mold cavity quickly; when the temperature in the system reaches 40℃, the super catalytic effect of this product begins to appear, which can make the polyurethane combination material reach the dewatering point within 20 minutes (or even shorter) after the mixing is completed. (or even shorter) after mixing, the polyurethane composition reaches the required strength for demolding without subsequent heating and vulcanization, which is typical of low energy consumption and high efficiency.

Areas of application:

NT CAT E-129 has a good delay effect in this series of catalysts and excellent hydrolysis resistance, when the material temperature is lower than 40℃, the catalytic activity is very low, when the material temperature reaches 40℃, the catalytic activity starts to show, when the material temperature reaches 50℃, the catalytic activity increases rapidly, and when the temperature reaches 110℃, the catalytic activity is even stronger than common organotin and organobismuth on the market.NT CAT E-129 is very suitable for the production of organic tin and organic bismuth. CAT E-129 is very suitable for DETDA (E-100) as a curing agent for the combination of materials, such as the production of transparent ** shoes skate wheel combination of materials and semi-polyurethane, compared with other catalysts have a longer flow time (pot life) to meet the needs of the mold filling, so the production of hardness more than 92A skateboard wheels, shock absorbers and large products.

NT CAT E-129 is used in MDI systems using alcohols as curing agents. It is characterized by a gentle reaction temperature rise curve and lower shrinkage than ordinary tin catalysts.

This product can be widely used in the field of polyurethane CASE to produce ** wheels, one and two-component sealants, coatings, adhesives, etc. It is used for aliphatic isocyanates and will not yellow the products.

Instructions for use:

It is recommended to add polyol (Polyol, P material) component when this product is used, and it is good to add it before sealing after vacuum degassing, and mix it well. It can also be added into isocyanate (ISO, I material) component, but because of some raw materials may have the danger of gel tank, please carry out the applicability test first. The dosage is related to the product system and hardness, etc. Generally, the dosage is 0.5~1‰ of the weight of P material. Because of the different uses of the product environmental requirements vary, it is recommended that the user in accordance with the relevant standards to do the actual test shall prevail.
